Whenever I add a homebrew feat, either created by myself or others, my character is buffed in nearly every skill, saving throw, and sense category. Has anyone run into/found a solution to this issue?
Yeah I wouldn't disagree but I don't understand how buffs that aren't specified within the feat apply to the character ya know? That's what I'm asking.
What exactly do you mean by “specified?” Do you mean what’s written in the description, or do you mean in the Modifiers? Because the description could say anything, and the Modifiers might just be set up improperly. Lots of times people try to boost 1 skill and end up accidentally boosting all of them for example, stuff like that.
I mean in the description in the case of those I've downloaded but it also happens with those I've created. That might be the issue I suppose, I'm fairly new to creating homebrew on here.
I have a similar problem, though I thinkI knowthe reason why/how, but not the actual CAUSE of the reason. The Feat is adding a spell which it SHOULDN'T be ADDING. The Feat Created, "Stubborn Will" literally does not include any spells or the option for spells (as in both have no text even in them) - BUT the feat that I "copied," Gift of the Metallic Dragon, for the (vague) framework, DID include an option the cure wounds spell.
I'm mostly posting because I am curious if there is actually a solution beyond either:
1. Not caring, tell players to just ignore the "option" and spell. OR

It's probably poorly created homebrew.

Well, what exactly are you trying to create? Maybe I can help.

Thank you, but I think I have it figured out. I scrapped the feats I found that were broken and simplified the one I was trying to make.

You will have to recreate it from scratch.

Figured. But thank you. Also, figured i should let people know, if they didn't already.
Happy to help. And thanks for helping to share information about the homebrewer, makes it easier for others to homebrew for their own campaigns.
