If the "Potions" filter is selected, the common Potion of Healing will not appear. If you filter by common with the potion filter applied it will not show at that time either. The bug has been reproduced by my online using Firefox and a fellow player through the iOS app. Manually searching by name still allows you to find the item.
It is in gear, and it is not filterable with magical or potion filters.
Being able to creator or buy magic items is optional, but being able to buy gear is the standard rule. So WotC decided potion of healing would be a non-magic item, so DMs would know it can can be created or bought easily.
And since DDB has to follow what WotC has set, it doesn't show up in your search.
[Edit]Potion of healing is actually listed in both gear and magic item sections in the books, so I was wrong.
Potions of healing are magical. They are even stated to be so in the description and show up in the Magic Items search under Potion.
When adding in the character builder or the character sheet they don't show up when filtering by potion because they are categorised as Gear instead of Potion and for reasons I don't understand beyond lack of foresight, D&D Beyond did not allow items to be in more than one category this way.
Healing Potions are listed as Adventuring Gear but this is just because they are common for adventuring and not because they're non-magical. The rules don't actually differentiate adventuring gear and magical items in terms of what an item is: the adventuring gear is just a list of common items an adventurer is likely to have, it doesn't specifically say they must be non-magical and even the trinkets they also list are sometimes magical.
This is D&D Beyond not categorising it properly for the character sheet/builder inventory system. It has nothing to do with WotC who have specifically described it as a magic item.
This is something I think D&D Beyond should consider fixing.

I was actually referring to the them not being filterable my "magical" on character sheet either. But you are right, I never double checked my conclusions. I fixed my post.
I just stumbled across this bug tonight. It appears that the standard Potion of Healing will not show up under inventory if the "Potion" filter is selected, however if "Other Gear" filter is selected then it will show up. So for some reason DnDBeyond doesn't recognize it as a potion. This really confused one of my players tonight and I had to add the Potion of Healing to their character sheet myself, so it would be nice if this could be fixed. Thanks.
