I get annoyed every time I see SCAG as the reference for a spell. If it is in a newer book (like TCE), please find a way to to not reference the deprecated book. One way to do it would by to exclude certain books, or only use books that I am using. Stuff in AI might be great but my DM is only letting me use the mainstream books. So, I don’t want to see Silvery Barbs as a spell I have access to.

Our D&D group has been gaming together regularly since 1980. Played my first D&D game in 1977. Thrilled that my grandnieces have enjoyed playing the game thanks to Stranger Things (I think). I wish I new more about playing online using electronic tools to visualize the action. And I am interested in playing online in organized (or disorganized) play.
I don't have a solution to the SCAG vs. TCE issue. But in terms of a spell like Silvery Barbs, if you are talking about on the character sheet, go back into the builder, go to the home tab, and turn off (gray) any of the content categories you don't want that character to have access to. In the case of Silvery Barbs, that would be Magic the Gathering.
Unfortunately, last I knew, Acquisitions Incorporated, which I presume is what you referred to with AI, doesn't fall under any of those categories, so there's no good way to exclude it in the builder.
If you are talking about in the listings (Game Rules>Spells) if you click on the "Show Advanced Filters" button, there are fields where you can specify source categories and/or specific books.
