I'm not exactly sure when this problem started. I'd say about 4-5 months ago. I have cleared all cookies, data, cache, temporary internet files, updated everything possible but for my Windows 10 desktop computer it absolutely refuses to load any of my characters at https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters . None of the browsers I have (Firefox, chrome, edge) will load my characters. I get a white screen and the lower left says some messages about transferring data, but it either quits outright or loads forever. However, my Windows 11 laptop will load them just fine without any incident. Would prefer my PC, especially since a new campaign just started with my friends. If anyone has any advice on what I can do to fix it I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Are you using a firewall or other internet safety features on the PC? a VPN? What other differences in operating system/set up are there between your PC and your laptop?
I have no internet safety features besides my router's firewall (nevermind that was older setup) I went ahead and turned AVG off temporarily and no difference or change. I do not use a VPN. All extensions are also off when I tested just now but the laptop works fine with all extensions anyway. My full Windows 10 version is professional, version 22H2. Laptop's is Windows 11 Home also version 22H2.
Someone else reported that they could see error logs indicating that loading media was an issue, presumably from DDB's side. But it's not affecting everyone, as you yourself can see. I am, quite frankly, out of ideas. I would suggest filing a support ticket. See the link in my signature.
Thanks for your help ArwensDaughter. I am pleased to report that after I submitted my support ticket from your link, it turned out there was a program interfering with DnD beyond. It was Survey Junkie's desktop app. After promptly removing it it works fine. In case anyone else sees this post looking through my "Add and remove programs" and checking against "Sniffer" programs is how I found the culprit. I'll happy now and looking forward to the new campaign I'm joining Friday!
