Just a bug report, I've built a High Elf Wizard and took the Message cantrip as my racial bonus cantrip and it doesn't appear anywhere in my final character sheet or in my spell list. I encountered something similar with another racial bonus not showing up in my final character sheet but don't recall it off the top of my head.
I can see that i should have a cantrip ability in the details but it doesn't show up anywhere in my spells?
Also how to you switch spells after a long rest if i do see it?
To switch out the spell on a long rest, you just go back into the character builder and change the cantrip you selected.
To help you out with your cantrip issue, can you give us some more specifics? (Since this thread is over six years old, it's very likely not the same issue.) Which cantrip are you expecting to see, and what feature gave it to you? It would be most helpful if you could set your character's visibility to public and then post the link here so other people can look at it.
Yeah so It's with the elven lineage spells High Elf It Says You know the Prestidigitation cantrip. Whenever you finish a Long Rest, you can replace that cantrip with a different cantrip from the Wizard spell list. But I don't see it anywhere in my spells.
Make sure you've actually chosen the spell and spellcasting ability under the "Elven Lineage Spells" feature.
Yeah i have chosen the spell and spellcasting ability under the "Elven Lineage Spells" feature. That ability shows up but not the Prestidigitation cantrip.
One other thing I should clear up - if this is a character that has other spells from their class, this cantrip won't show up in the list of spells the character knows on the Class tab in the character builder. That's intentional; that's only for spells you get from your class. It should show up on the Spells tab on the actual character sheet, though. Can you set your character to public and post the link so I can take a look at it?
So I'm seeing poison spray in your list of spells tagged with "Elven Lineage Spells". Is it possible you selected that one instead of prestidigitation by mistake?
Oh yeah i did pick that one intentionally but that was in the tab labeled elven lineage spells. But in the elven lineage tab it says you know the prestidigitation cantrip.
Right. You know that cantrip as part of your Elven Lineage feature. You also have the ability to switch from Prestidigitation to another one when you take a long rest, so the character builder has to allow you to choose which one you have. That's what that drop-down does.

Should be at the bottom of your spells section (underneath add spells function, in a separate expander).

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
thank you! It still doesn't not appear on my exported character sheet. Which isn't too much of an issue because it is easy to add
I have the same problem, I want to export the sheet and have the extra cantrip included.
