Homebrew fighting styles are not supported. Instead, make a feat to replicate the style. Instead of choosing the style in the normal place add the feat to the character instead (features > feats > manage feats).

So a homebrew fighting style is not showing up on fighting styles on my character builder but is showing up on ability score improvement.
