So for those of you who might not know, in the character sheet, you can add things like familiars, mounts, animal companions, and other stuff like that to your character sheet by going into the Extras section, and clicking Manage Extras. I have a Beast Master Ranger, and I decided I wanna use the Primal Companion Option from Tasha's Cauldron, but I can't find the Beast of the Sky option (or the other Primal Companions for that matter). I've bought the book, so it's not a matter of not owning the content, but I can't for the life of me figure out why the Primal Companion options aren't showing up. Did they just forget to add the Primal Companion stat blocks to the data base properly?
The statblocks feature elements that must be linked to the character - something not yet supported.
This is also true of other such statblocks like artificer steel defender and the newer summon spells.
You can create homebrew versions and add those, but as you level you may have to edit them to reflect any new changers (like if your proficiency bonus increases).

Has any representatives of D&DBeyond made mention of if they have plans to add support for that in the near future? Whether or not it's planned to be fixed soon will likely influence whether or not I'll go through the trouble of homebrewing, especially since this character isn't one I'm likely to use soon, they're just a random character I made for the fun of making another character.
EDIT: Also, does this issue apply to familiars as well? I recently showed this feature to some members of my current group, and one of them has a familiar, so I suspect they'll add their familiar, and I'd feel bad if they end up using a not properly tuned stat block because I wasn't aware of this issue.

I’m sure it’s on the “get to eventually” list, but back when the Dev updates were happening, it was not on the “currrently in progress” list, so I don’t expect them to show up in extras anytime soon.
the issue, as Cyb3rm1nd said, is that the extras feature is not set up to do the calculations that the Primal Companion and a lot of the other newer “pet” options require (including summoned animals). That, and with the proliferation of such creatures, the plan to make them as monsters to add to extras was cluttering up the monsters list.
what they have done recently is i prove what I believe they call the “in line” entries. For the Ranger primal companion, if you go to the Actions tab (bonus actions section) or to the Features and traits tab, and tap on “Primal Companion”, a sidebar will slide out with the statblock for the companion. You still have to add the PB in certain places, but it shows you that. And they’ve jury rigged a way to track HP. (Under features and traits, it’s just called “uses,” which is rather cryptic. But in the actions tab, it is more clearly marked.
Familiars work in extras, unless there are new subclasses that have shifted to using the characters PB like the primal companion and other new pets do.
Appreciate the info. I'll probably just make do with the Features method for the time being. Less hassle than homebrewing multiple versions of the Primal Companion, especially since I'm still a little iffy on navigating the homebrew builder. You mentioned a "currently in progress" list. Is there an easy way to view that? Even if this issue isn't going to be addressed in the near future, it'd be nice to know what sort of things are being worked on (for example; I remember when they hadn't yet added a way to put inventory items into containers and on vehicles, and it would have saved me a little trouble to know in advance roughly when that fix was about to happen).

No printed list the public can access unfortunately. They used to list things on slides and or talk about them on the Dev Updates, but those are on hiatus if not discontinued all together.
As a player that is not into all the rules, I had hoped this was something Beyond would manage for me. Makes it hard to use my character on the site, when I have to manually manage me companion. Then there are other options for character sheets out there. I honestly thought that DndBeyond managed all the rules of a supported character

Still an issue in 2023. I'm surprised the Devs haven't integrated this feature yet.
A bit of joke that it hasn't been done yet.
