When I open up any of my character sheets, the page loads but then turns black. The sheet itself seems to be live on the page because my mouse shows there are clickable parts of the page but it is entirely black, save for the dice selector icon on the bottom left of the page. The "Edit Character" pages aren't affected, but as soon as I try to access the sheet itself, the problem arises.
I can access the page using Chrome perfectly fine, but I'd prefer not to use an entirely separate browser just to access my character sheets.
Currently I'm not using a vpn and I've tried loading the page with every extension on Firefox disabled. I've also updated my drivers too
To update: I recently found out as well, this seems to only happen on my main virtual desktop. So I have no issue if I switch to a separate virtual desktop the page loads just fine. At this point it has now become a curiosity instead of a major problem given this strange work-around
I run Firefox Nightly and can access the sheets just fine, so it would be a local issue causing this. What OS do you run, and what version of Firefox are you on?

Bumping this, as in 2021 I'm still having this issue
It would be helpful if you could answer the question I asked the others above, namely:
Do you use a vpn or browser extensions? If so, what happens if you turn them off?
Also; is your version of Firefox up to date?
The fact that there have been so few reports of issues with Firefox mean it must be something specific to your setup; the trick wil be figuring out what that is.
I also have this issue. It appears intermittently on my machine. Neither a refresh nor a hard refresh fixes the issue. As with the OP, the dice selector icon is visible, and the page navigation is visible during the loading spinner, but afterwards (once the character is fully loaded?) the entire page is black except the dice selector.
Latest Firefox version, 88.0, 64-bit. Windows 10. No VPN or other special firewall-related changes.
Disabling ad blockers did not fix the issue on a page refresh, but I tried disabling all addons and restarting firefox, and that seemed to fix the issue. I couldn't recreate the issue by re-enabling specific addons though. As I mentioned, the issue is intermittent so it's difficult to pin down the cause.
If it happens again I'll be sure to pull up the inspector and try to figure out the offender.
I have the same issue. Using Firefox 89.0 (up to date), with Beyond20, Norton Safe web and Norton safe search active as extensions. IITC for Ingress inactive at the moment.
Turned them all off... No change.
The links on the character sheet are obviously still active - you can scroll over them and see the cursor change.
Also - it effects both the View and Edit sections. both are blacked out.
If it's not extensions, VPNs, or security software and it doesn't occur in other browsers then you'll probably need to contact support to see if they can come up with anything. You can do so at https://dndbeyond.link/SubmitTicket

Pretty insane that this is till an issue and no one from DnDBeyond support is anywhere to be seen. Don't they have forums help? How can they be OK with their website being broken for one of the largest browsers (firefox)?
I've first tried disabling *all* ad-blocking and related functionality. This is Firefox 94.0.1 on Windows with an Nvidia GPU. My browser settings are fairly vanilla, but if someone who works on this website is able to investigate it you might consider playing with the canvas-related "resist fingerprinting" settings to try to reproduce the problem.

Chrome works just fine.
I will also say - if I clear my cookies, it will work for a bit. and then go dark again.
Can you see if the issue returns while leaving your addons disabled?

I did - and it stayed.
looking at the elements - this is one of the many issues showing. I know nothing about web page coding - so it means nothing to me...

Hi, I've managed to work around this problem by opening the Firefox developer tools, highlighting this element and pressing delete:
I've first tried disabling *all* ad-blocking and related functionality. This is Firefox 94.0.1 on Windows with an Nvidia GPU. My browser settings are fairly vanilla, but if someone who works on this website is able to investigate it you might consider playing with the canvas-related "resist fingerprinting" settings to try to reproduce the problem.
