When you select Metamagic Options you are given the 2024 versions, but when you use Metamagic Adept (from TCE) it only allows you to select the 2014 versions of Metamagic Options. The text of the feat says as follows:
"You learn two Metamagic options of your choice from the sorcerer class. You can use only one Metamagic Option on a spell when you cast it, unless the option says otherwise. Whenever you reach a level that grants the Ability Score Improvement feature, you can replace one of these Metamagic options with another one from the sorcerer class."
Therefore, if using the 2024 version of Sorcerer, then this feat should provide the 2024 versions of Metamagic Options.
It's a 2014 feat from a non-core 2014 book that was not updated to 2024 rules. The system does not support feats that can choose which ruleset you're using - the feat cannot recognise you're using a 2024 sorcerer.
Since metamagic doesn't actually affect anything on the sheet, just text added to a list, you can create a homebrew feat to add the desired 2024 metamagic - it's just text, so not complicated. As a result of the easy workaround, this will be considered a very low priority and will not be fixed anytime soon (if ever).
