New user here trying to prepare of my first game as DM. I have purchased the 2024 PHB, DMR, MM but all the links in source books for spells or monsters all link to 2014 versions. This is super annoying. Is there away to fix it or are we stuck with 2014 links?
What links go to 2014 content? One of the main complaints some people have had is the opposite, 2014 books linking to 2024 content. Specific examples would help here to narrow down the issue.
For example - Spellbook (Phb\Basic rules Wizard class) - this item doesn't exist in 2024, all links to 2014. It appears in Starting equipment and spellcasting focus section.

If an item had no need to change anything about it, it was not duplicated or updated to 2024. Since everyone gets access for free - there was no need.

Why then they duplicated Blanket/Bedroll/Candle/Ink etc? They are all the same as 2014 version. I doubt if they diliberately linked to 2014 rules in phb/basic rules 2024.

The above answer was actually mistaken about the Spellbook. The 2024 rules treat having one as a class feature but don't have a specific item called Spellbook. Only the 2014 version exists at all. You would need a different example. Really, I'm not sure why they hyperlinked that in Wizard at all, but it isn't under the Equipment chapter.
