I've had this problem persistently since maps released. After a certain point the token browser just breaks down completely, and refreshing to try and fix it gets the tabletop stuck on "No map selected!" with none of the UI elements available. I'm trying to start my session in 10 minutes and I can't even add my party's characters to my map.
This is true on both Chrome and Firefox, and I have no consistent way of telling when it breaks down - I get like 10 minutes in and then the whole thing falls apart. I have to wait hours for it to reset, that's the only method I've seen actually work.
Works flawlessly for me on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera GX.
I must assume this is an issue your end. Perhaps check your browser extensions, VPNs, etc?
