I made a few characters for some friends that I will be DMing for and realized that I was unsure how to actually run the campaign with these characters. Is there any way to attach characters I have already made to a campaign and have them be claimable by someone else? If not, is there any way to basically share a character so they can edit it and actually use it as their own? They don't have accounts here, but if need be they can create an account. Hopefully my question is understandable. Thanks for the help!

Add the characters to your campaign (click Copy link near the invite link on the campaign page, paste link in url bar)

once characters are added, unassign them

have players create free accounts here

send then invite link

have them claim an unassigned character when they follow the link

note:  If you used options that are not free here, it will work best if you also have a master tier subscription and turn on content sharing in the campaign. 

They'll definitely need their own accounts. Sharing accounts is against the terms of service.

 I already had content sharing enabled, but I never considered trying my own link out to access it. Was able to have characters I created join the campaign and unassigned them. Once they get accounts created, they'll be able to join. Thanks for telling me how to do it! This problem might as well be considered resolved.
