personally me and my players like using paper copies, but we love the D&D format, and are slowly experimenting with using online tools, however when we Export your sheets, they export with a "scroll" option, instead of adjusting to fit the boxes, such as expanding, lowering font, or covering more of the empty space.
on top of this, when me and my players spend an hour or more altering these sheets (form fillable) and attempt to print them, sometimes things simply do not get printed, your spell sheet is 50/50, my clerics was okay (didn't print her spell slots though) but my sorcerer literally has the outline, no spells that we manually entered, not even the race specific ones (Tiefling)
I understand that D&D beyond is more geared towards a digital thing, but with the ability to export, and print these off, I feel like more effort could have been made to ensure these work properly. it is what is currently keeping me from "re" purchasing all of my DM books on this great website, because if I cant have it print off, or show correctly, its kind of a waste of money and doesn't actually save me any time.
just curious if anyone else has this issue, if anyone even really cares about this issue, and if its something that may get fixed/looked at in the future. I want to be able to print off the best character sheets (since again, we prefer the paper and pen feel) and I love the D&D beyond set up of those sheets, but I need them to work properly, and the form fillable is the best ive found
same same! I've been trying to figure out how to print and there seems to be no options for it. The Storm Giant module directs you to photocopy some NPC sheets from Appendix C and give one to each player who must "play" the NPC character but also gets rewarded if that NPC survives the scenario. How can I "photocopy" a digital format, yet there is no options for printing.
I've been able to print NPCs from DDB. Sometimes I've copied from here and pasted into word before printing. Other times I have simply printed from here. If you click on the NPC name, it should open in a new window. Or, you an search for them in the Monster listings and get a page with only that npc's information.
I don't have a computer at the game, and I can't read this on the phone.
Am I missing some way to print or save a character to pdf? Or is this tool just a way to check options, and then manually put them all in some other physical record?

When on your computer, click on the character name on the sheet. Choose expo sheet.

I've been a D&D player since the late '70s. I stopped for awhile and am now getting back into it. The problem I'm having is a little different from the ones I've seen. I've looked at several threads and don't see what I was looking for. I love the character generation that DDB has developed. I've successfully exported to a pdf for the most part. What I'm having problem with is the ability scores. During step one of the character build, you are given the option to have the scores on top and the mods on the bottom, and it shows that way when you view it on DDB. But when I exported it to a pdf, it swaps back. As an old time player, I like the ability scores big and bold. It more identifies and describes your character! I may have missed something, am I doing something wrong?
But all in all, I love this sight! Bravo Zulu you guys and gals!
