I am struggling with a new home-brew I made. I keep getting the following two errors:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
My problem is that I have gone through all the spells to make sure they are part of the core rules so I am not sure why the spells are generating this error. Second, I have basically copied the Way of the Four Elements monk for how the features work. I am only granting features at the appropriate levels for monk, but I still get this error as well.
I would love some feedback as to why this is not working. Thanks
The message about licensed content means you have added a spell, or other feature that is not from the "Basic Rules" - I had a quick look and can see, for example, you have a feature that grants the spell Elemental Weapon which is from the Player's Handbook.
ah thank you, I thought players handbook and basic were basically treated the same. I think I have it fixed now and it seems to be letting me share it.
