I've redeemed code for Essentials kit, the rulebook contains also War Domain for Clerics but I cannot use it with Character Builder, it is simply unavailable.
The Essentials kit (printed version) contains both, the Life Domain and the War Domain.
And the digital version only has the adventures, not the rules source (basically an abridged PHB).
The 50% off PHB code is supposed to make it easier to get those options. You can always use the homebrew tools to add war domain in (just don't publish it).

Hi all,
I run all my games these days online, so I have gone "all in" on the D&D Beyond versions of the 5e content. Can one of you please specify what subclasses are published in the Essentials Rulebook for ALL of the five Essentials Legal classes (cleric, rogue, fighter, wizard, bard)? I'm starting up an Essentials game and a prospective player wants to know what is legal for those classes in the Essentials rules. I have seen everyone and their brother reference only two subclasses, but nobody has specified what they are for every class, and I'd like to be able to share that with my players since D&D Beyond version fails to include the Essentials Rulebook as a reference.
As a side note, because I own all the published D&D Beyond content, my players could technically roll any published subclass. For this specific game, we want to follow the spirit of the Essentials Rules and not go crazy with the whole universe of published options like we do in my homebrew games (where we sometimes even create whole classes to let a player have just the mix of features they want when one particular class won't quite answer the need.

The essentials kit code only gives you the adventure (Dragon of Icespire Peak), not the additional rules content that includes non-srd classes

You can purchase the War Domain cleric for $1.99 (no need to purchase the entire PHB), or, if you have access to a print copy, you can homebrew it.

The essentials kit also comes with a code for 50% off the PHB.

I'll do that, thanks!
I want to get the paperback version of PHB later.
