So I just added my new Fighter character to the site. Our DM had us roll for stats, and I rolled insanely well, so my ability scores are quite high. But I noticed my attack bonus to unarmed strikes is +6, and for longswords it's +11. That seems RADICALLY too high. My Str modifier is +4, and my proficiency bonus is +2, so where is the extra +5 to hit coming from? I might just be mistaken about all the math, but I was wondering if this is possibly just a bug? Thanks in advance for any help.
I had a quick look at your character and discovered you have a private homebrew magic item called, "Silvered Longsword of Undead Slaying" - that homebrew item is giving your character +5 to hit with all weapons.
If you unequip that item, your regular longsword calculates correctly.
Oookay, I thought that might be the reason. I got that sword in a home brew dungeon, and it's not supposed to be THAT strong. It's not even magic lol. Thanks for the help!
