I have a campaign with several players. I have purchased several books (and have enabled content sharing) so that my players can build their character sheets in DDB without content constraints. Their character sheets depend on this shared content from the PHB, DMG, etc.
If I were to downgrade my subscription to Hero, which does not allow content sharing, what would happen to my player's character sheets? Would each character suddenly be missing content like a magical item (since content from the DMG is no longer accessible) or my Sorcerer would lose her Origin (Wild Magic is only available if you have purchased the PHB)?
Downgrading your subscription would work just like disabling content sharing on a campaign, or your player removing it from the campaign; they'd keep all their shared options (nothing would be deleted) including subclasses for levelling. However, anything they removed (say non-SRD spells or items) would be gone for good, or at least they have access to the content again, at which point they can re-add it

Just a little confused what you mean when you say:
"they'd keep all their shared options (nothing would be deleted) including subclasses for leveling"
Can you elaborate a little? The Sorcerous Origin Wild Magic is not part of the Basic Rules, and it is a subclass.. so if I removed PHB content, would it still be there or no?

As I understand it, if they had already chosen that subclass (which for sorcerers is chosen at level 1) they get to keep it. For classes that choose a subclass later, if they haven't reached that level and chosen a subclass before content sharing ends, then they wouldn't have access to those subclasses they didn't "own". But if they had chosen a subclass, that would stay in effect.
Anything already on their sheet, such as magic items, spells and subclasses, will remain on their sheet. Nothing will be removed.
Subclasses are special because they have extra information (higher level options); these options will still be accessible too. You'll be able to level up your character.
However with all of these, if you remove the option, you won't be able to add them back.
So say you have a level 3 Oath of the Ancients paladin with Tenser's Floating Disc (somehow) and the Hand of Vecna. They leave the campaign/you turn off content sharing/you downgrade your subscription; they'll keep all those things. Now say they remove Tenser's Floating Disc, they won't be able to re-add it without content sharing. The same goes for the Hand of Vecna. If they were to change their subclass over to Oath of Devotion, you wouldn't be able to change back.
