I recently purchased tashas cauldron digitally. I believed I would get the oath of glory subclass as it’s literally IN the book! But no I’ve got to buy the overpriced myth of theros thing. If it’s in the description and rules of a product I should be able to use it!
Step 2: Edit your character, go to Home tab and ensure the following toggles are enabled: 2014 Core Rules, Expanded Rules and Legacy.
Step 3: Go to the Class tab in the editor and remove the Paladin class by clicking the X.
Step 4: Go to add a class. The dropdown box starts with listing Core Rules classes. Scroll down below these to 2014 Core Rules and under that click Paladin.
Step 5: Where it says to add your Oath, you can now choose Oath of Glory.
EXPLANATION
You do not need to buy any other book. Buying Tasha's Cauldron of Everything on here does unlock the subclass for characters here. However, Tasha's is a 2014 ruleset book. There's 2 versions of all core classes: a 2014 ruleset version and a 2024 ruleset version. If a 2014 subclass was reprinted/updated to 2024 ruleset then you can only use 2014 version on a 2014 class and must use the 2024 version on a 2024 class.
Oath of Glory was reprinted in the 2024 Player's Handbook. If you are making a 2024 Paladin you can only use the 2024 version of Oath of Glory. Since you don't have the 2024 version of Oath of Glory it will not show up for you to select it. To use the 2014 Oath of Glory you need to make a 2014 Paladin. You can check which Paladin you are using by the icon they use:
