I was able to attune the Robe of the Archmagi to a monk character despite it stating that the item requires attunement by a wizard, sorcerer or warlock.
This is not so much a bug as it is a design choice; the system isn't set up to handle attunement requirements. This way, if the DM lets you attune to an item despite your not meeting the requirements, you can.

Matthias is correct in this.
The more that D&D Beyond automatically restricts items/abilities, the less flexibility it allows DMs & players.
