Hello! I am currently trying to figure out if there is a way to see the source of an ability when looking at a character sheet. I have a player, that sort of just has Two-Weapon fighting? I can't seem to figure out the source of it. They are a flat bard with no multiclass, it is not provided by his half-elf race, he has no feats, and literally only uses his magical bow for attacks anyway. Homebrew is on, but i am very particular in what i provide my players and typically make it myself, so i can't figure it out.
Is there a way to see why or where a character may get certain abilities short of scrubbing through the race, feats, and class choices?
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.
If either weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon, instead of making a melee attack with it.
Perfect. That makes sense then, and i was in fact getting the two confused. My player was asking me and i am playing a two weapon fighter right now, and was jumped the gun by assuming i suppose. Thanks for your help and time!

You can hover over the name with your mouse and the source should be visible in a little bubble.
Every character can use two weapon fighting. There is a difference between Two-Weapon fighting, and the Two-Weapon Fighting Fighting Style.

What the Fighting Style grants in addition:

I hope that helps.
