I'm making an Artificer subclass for a homebrew setting, and I would like some help.
The concept is that in a hostile dark fantasy world, some artificers get inspiration from the gods, many of which are inhumanly intelligent, but most of which are fairly malevolent. These artificers were necessary to colonize the land the campaign takes place in, and are known for being somewhat unhinged.
I want it to have a "mad scientist" vibe, with a focus on themes of obsession and spirits.
I've never made an artificer subclass before, so I'm reaching out to people who are probably more experienced with them.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.

I think that the caster focused one would probably be the closest to what I'm looking for.
I'm eager to see it!
