Please answer the poll above. In your response, please say what your favorite and least favorite Barbarian subclass is and why.
My favorite Barbarian subclass is the Path of the Totem Warrior (Bear). The fact that it gives you resistance to all damage except psychic damage when you rage is extremely potent. You could also combine it with a Kalashtar to have resistance to all damage at 3rd level! Also, your carrying capacity is eventually doubled. The 14th level feature also allows when you are raging, they will have disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you.
My least favorite Barbarian subclass is the Battlerager. spiked armor is garbage, other Barbarians will easily surpass your AC, and being able to deal an extra 1d4 damage while raging as a bonus action? Not so great.

Wild Magic Barbarian is easily my favorite, currently.
Part of that is just the role playing aspect...you could concoct any number of backstories as to how you ended up with chaotic magical power...a curse? A magic experiment gone wrong? A blessing from the gods?
Add the sheer physical resilience & martial power you get from just being a Barbarian...it’s brilliant.
My favorite is the Way of the Ancestral Guardian, but that may just be me being partial. My first 5e barbarian was a hill dwarf battlerager, with the mercenary veteran background, who was haunted by the spirits of his dead comrades. I later got to rebuild him with the Way of the Ancestral Guardian for another campaign. But it's also a really tanky subclass; constantly protecting an ally. I almost feel like Isaiah Mustafa from the Old Spice commercials. "Look at your target. Now back to me. Now back at my ally. Now back to me."
And I still had a lot of fun with my battlerager. I didn't have any trouble keeping up or contributing. The armor dependency does stink a little bit, but that's honestly so minor it doesn't really matter.
Way of the Storm Herald has some nice stuff, but the perks just seem so lackluster. What's worse, while they scale up to your proficiency bonus, they don't keep pace with your proficiency bonus. I get that features are generally over-tuned during the UA period, but this one feels under-tuned upon release. I just can't picture myself playing one.

I ranked based on excitement factor - Bear Barbarians just bore me and Wild Magic is hella fun.
