Hey all. Like many, I am intrigued with this new World Tree Barbarian in 2024. Love its support flavor and actual tanking mechanism.
Curious about potential synergies there. Main considerations I‘m thinking about are: 1) Needing to keep my Reaction free for the main level 6 yanking feature; 2) Utilizing my Bonus Action since World Tree doesn’t use it much til level 14; 3) Which Weapon Mastery features make the most sense?
Polearm Master (lvl. 4)- Would love to try this, but I’d often miss out on the Reaction attack when enemy enters my range, which is probably okay. The BA attack would help scratch out more damage. And it’s a half feat now, so +1 STR.
Great Weapon Master (lvl. 8)- Even with nerf, still reliable damage boost, which this Barb subclass needs. Again +1 STR.
Resilient WIS (lvl. 12)- Cuz I want to retain control.
Beyond that, the special weapon properties: could Hew for extra attack, Push or Prone or Slow to keep enemies where I want them. Dunno.
Thoughts?
