I was curious about the Blood Domain included in the Critical Role Tal'dorei Campaign Guide. I noticed even if you select the allowance of Critical Role content when creating a character this isn't an option. Is it missing for some reason?
Also, if you were to build (or have built) a Blood Domain cleric, what are some good synergistic choices to make for race, ability scores, skills, spell preparation, equipment, etc.?
content within the Tal'dorei campaign guide isn't available on D&D Beyond as Green Ronin are the exclusive publisher of that book. Whilst I understand that discussions have taken place to bring this content to D&D Beyond, it seems that they didn't work out for now.
Absolutely and I should have mentioned this on my reply above!
You can use the subclass homebrew tools to create your own version of the Blood domain, which you can use on your own characters or other people in a campaign with you can use - the only restriction is we ask that you please don't hit the publish button on this to make it publicly available, as that would represent a copyright breach.
There are some sticky posts with guides and information on the homebrew subforum.
hey sorry to barge in 3 years later but now the campaign is published as a official book (Explorer's Guide to Wildemount) and even though the claret order is talked about in the book there is no blood domain subclass option to buy, which is strange to me because the entire source of the blood domain class on wiki fandom ( https://criticalrole.fandom.com/wiki/Blood_domain ) is from the book and it uses the book to site all of the subclass abilities meaning its very much not a npc only class, we can further prove its not a npc only class because blood hunter already is a class on its own despite being in the same faction as blood clerics
is this a glitch on dnd beyond's part or is it only in the phyisical/Digital full book?
edit: my apologies, it seems that what the book was referencing was some basic lore, not the subclass abilities, but this puts blood domain clerics as CR content that is seperate from the official dnd book, likewise the critical role book about the campaign has been published (Critical Role: Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting) and THAT book has the subclass abilities cited, so my new question is
Why isnt blood cleric a subclass despite other CR content features like gunslinger and Blood hunter having admittance?
Coomer- the Blood Cleric (along with the Runechild Sorceror, Juggernaut Cleric and a very different version of the Cobalt Soul monk) were in the original Taldorei campaign guide, published by Green Ronin. Currently DnDBeyond can only allow items published by WotC as public content. So Explorers Guide to WIldmount is ok, but Kobold Press, Green Ronin and DMsGuild (with a few exceptions) cant be made public.

Ahh. Is there a way with the customization allowed on the character sheets we could sort of hack it together manually and make it work?
