When you use the Attack action, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier (a minimum of 1) per long rest.
Because Inflict Wounds is a spell ATTACK I can use my Divine Focus ability to make an addition weapon attack as a bonus action correct?
I am Variant Human and chose Ritual Caster (Wizard) as my feat with Identify and Find Familiar.
I have an Owl Familiar and their flyby ability allows me to cast Inflict Wounds through them at targets at range, can I then make a weapon attack with my Longbow as a bonus action using my Divine Focus ability?
Currently level 4 with 2 levels of Cleric and 2 levels of Ranger.
Nope the Attack with capital "A" and just attack with lower "a" have different meaning in DND Explain it better then i can.
The only way it trigger when your action used for an "Attack action" inflict wound use you "[Tooltip Not Found]" action not your "Attack action" therefore you not eligable for the war priest feat.
I haven't been using it in this way, was just curious.
Also I have played with different DMs and one had me roll for my familiars Initiative separate from my own? In these cases would I use my Action to READY Inflict Wounds and Cast it as my familiar uses the Flyby ability?
The other allowed my familiar to act on my turn so the spell and ability were used in junction with each other.
yeah normaly familiar has there own iniative but some DM wave it away and make them act on your iniative to keep it simple. Your example on of those reasons.
i wasn't sure had to double check how the following works readyfind familiar I would say yes but it has alot restrictions/requirements/vulnarebility.
1)ready action. It cost you action you have to reserve your reaction and you have to keep your concentration on it (if you had a concentration spell active that drops now). Now the latter important since if you get attacked before it your familiar turn you could lose the concentration check and the spell or what even more easier your familiar get killed before it action. Also if the trigger depends on your sight on the familiar an obstruction make it unable to excute (the enemies went out of sight of you.).
2)find familiar it has to have a reaction availeble and 100 feet of you but that should be fine as long your ready action triggers and the other requirement of it fullfilled. After it should still have it action and movement so you can fly away with flyby and before it even flew away it can even use it action help to distract sombody giving advantage on next attack on that target.
Note: This my interpretation of it though it possible i tripped up somwhere i never actually been in this situation.

Nope it the same as OP original question. Attack and attack not the same thing in DND. All spells are "Cast a spell" action not "Attack action" it doesnt matter how the attack of those spells are delivered they never eligible since they from total different action section.
It's a bit of a disappointment, but doesn't really diminish the power of the War Cleric.
Just save that "Inflict Wounds" for when you REALLY need to kill something, and combine it with the Channel Divinity that gives you a +10 to hitting...chances are, you'll hit the target.
Then "War Priest" can be used in tandem with your standard weapon attacks, mopping up the rabble.
That's the fun thing about War Clerics...they always have a way to fight.
Even when you use up your Wisdom modifier-worth of bonus attacks; you got good 'ol "Spiritual Weapon" to fall back on.

to confuse this a bit further then, would the war priest ability stack with Booming Blade of Green-flamed Blade?

figured as much. just thought id make the mention.
in my honest opinion that is the stupidest thing in the world. If a spell has the word "attack" for example "melee spell ATTACK" it should count.
