I’m looking to make an elven cleric of the forge (yes I know it’s not truly optimized). Sort of like Celebrimbor from LOTR. However, I can’t seem to find any elven deities of forge blacksmithing or mining. Any ideas on a good choice for this or would the god of art or crafting be my best bet?
Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes (p. 43) have elven deities with the Forge Domain. Darahl Tilvenar (LN) is the god of fire, earth and metalwork, the domains being Forge and Light. There's another with the Forge domain, but that one sounds like what you have in mind.
"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."

Nailed it.

Thanks! I hadn’t thought to look there for whatever reason but these work great!
