My first D&D character was made by someone else, who had this subclass named Circle of the Stars. Now i am trying to remake the character on my own account, but it is nowwhere to find... So I browsed through the subclasses a little. I found it, tried to add it, and I CANT. Why? Do I have to do something to add a subclass? It sais ‘‘requires subscription’’. (Oh and if this is obvious, sorry, my original lanquage is not English)
The Circle of Stars subclass is not part of D&D Beyond's free content. It doesn't require a subscription, but it does require that you either own the digital version of the book it's in, or have access to it through content sharing in a campaign.
There are two different versions of the Druid class and the Circle of Stars subclass: the 2014 version and the 2024 version. Using the 2024 version of Circle of Stars requires you to own (or have access to) the 2024 version of the Player's Handbook. Using the 2014 version requires you to own or have access to the source book Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. Do you own either of these books?
No, sadly. I only have the Monsters manual at home, but neither of these. I guess i have to wait for enough money then, before i can make the character myself. But thanks for helping me out!

Do note that if you have a physical copy of a book, you cannot use it in dnd beyond. The digital ones are the only ones that let you use their content in dnd beyond. (I learned this the hard way)

I'm just your everyday dungeon master. Ignore that jar full of souls. And those bones in the corner are just props, don't worry. I'm definitely NOT a lich. Definitely.
Yes, I like beholders. Yes, I curated an exquisite personality for commoner #2864. Yes, my catchphrase is "are you sure?"
You can use the homebrew section of DnD beyond to create a subclass (or anything else) copying the features from the book. It is a pain to do so and a few features might not be possible but you can usually get close enough.
