It feels lopsided in older editions druid had quite a few spells the wizard did not and now it only goes the other way . meanwhile the supposed jack of all trades bard gets all your spells.
druids need stuff like fire seed and finger of death back.
also bard is just a better druid, and that should not be the case,
wizard should be king of arcane and druid king of primal
Bards and druids have very different spell lists in 5e and I don't see how bard would be a better druid without druid abilities and spells. Bards don't have a ton of wizard spells. are you only looking at illusion and charm and divination? Not evocation and other schools? Wizards and druids have my favorite spell lists. Druids still haver many spells wizards do not (including all the healing spells and reincarnation and in 2014, some good summoning spells).
Just did a quick lookup on DnDBeyond. There are 135 druid spells in the Player's Handbook, ~67 of which are shared by wizards, ~47 of which are shared with bards. I will admit that I got a little crosseyed, so those numbers might not be perfect. ~30 of them were exclusive to druids or rangers. So, more than half of druid spells are not wizard spells, nearly two-thirds of druid spells are not bard spells, and about a quarter of them are druid/ranger exclusive. Also bears mentioning that the lion's share of druid spells that are shared by bards are also shared by clerics, as they're just general helper spells like Cure Wounds and the like. Druids' spell list is plenty unique, unless you're arguing that Rangers, which have always been Druid/Fighters, shouldn't have access to similar spells (16 druid spells are druid-exclusive).
perhaps you haven't seen the new spells in the book literally all of the ones druid gets wizard gets . and druid does not get many. as for the bard they can choose any spell that the 3 main spellcasters have . I shouldn't have to explain why that's a bit much. spell choice is very powerful can make the difference in a class and the bard can go shopping in those Lists, odd for a jack of all trades.
there are many features that only work with a classes spell list such as potent cantrip. wildfire druid cant even use its features with fireball or firebolt cause its not on their list. a bard shouldn't not be better at magic then a druid even thematically. bards' power is in how it buffs. .
as for rangers ,they should really be miffed ,the bard is a better ranger then the ranger. with full spell casting and two subclasses with extra attack
my beef isn't really with clerics , nor with wizards i just don't like the bard favoritism while the druid could use some help.
