I've created a table for druids who grew up in the city. These warriors with an unlikely background will protect the destruction of nearby natural territories by fighting within the city itself. These are the beasts they may have seen, of varying degrees of rarity. Since this table is rather limited, you may consider supplementing some creatures from other environments that were nearby the city you grew up in, for higher-level encounters at least. (The only urban-born beast with a higher CR than 1 is the Swarm of Cranium Rats. Crazy, right?)
Perhaps someone wrote a book on druids, and your character studied that book religiously until you learned it. Perhaps druid came into the city and briefly took on an accomplice. The accomplice only learned some basic stuff before the druid had to leave, but they figured out the rest with practice. Or maybe someone had a druid parent who abandoned the druid life in favor of modern conveniences, and that parent taught their kid the way of the druid when prompted. Any way you look at it, the way of the Urban Druid is a relatively unexplored idea that I'd like to see more of.
Please note that this list is not a guarantee: It is a list of every currently documented beast that lives in the urban environment. Not every creature is a common sight that your Druid would have seen.

*May require special DM Permission. Cranium Rats are a CR 0 creature with Telepathy, and they are an incredibly uncommon sight. Only a city that had some sort of encounter with Illithids would ever see these, unless they were captured from the Underdark and brought to the surface or something. Ask your DM before you use the Cranium Rat.
Well depending on what city the druid grew up in it could have a zoo in it. Giving them standard 'city' animals, and then the occasional 'weird' animal. Although I understand this list is suppose to be generic, just a thought to entertain!
Also what about giant flys, hawks, and the [regular] spider?

One of my druids is Urban themed in the roleplay sense, he's a hobo park druid!
Nice!
