Firstly, this is for conjure animals, not wild shape, although it may end up being fairly similar.
I'm ranking these for a system where I can roll a d20 and the higher it rolls, the better my choices of animal to summon. So far I have worked on 1/4 Cr. I will probably skip 1/2 because I don't see myself summoning 1/2 CR very often. So anyway, here's the table so far. The list doesn't have to include every single beast, but it should have variety at each tier (as much as possible).
Taking feedback on the ranking as well as the d20 ranges for each tier.
EDIT: you would be able to summon any creature from the tier you roll OR a lower tier. So if you wanted to summon riding horses for your party, you would be guaranteed that opportunity due to them being in the bottom tier.
