I am always wondering how other people like to play their fighters, so I decided to ask some friends about what they thought. Most of them said things like more movement or defensive abilities. I want to know what others think, so What kind of thing would you like to see in a Fighter Archetype?
Diversity - anything that gives options, which the fighter usually lack. This is why Battlemaster is chosen 10 out of 10 times in games I have played in.
Specialized in a single weapon or a single group of weapons?
A single weapon, fighters can use any weapon due to their training so a bonus for focusing on a single weapon seems natural and was available in earlier editions.

Perpetually annoyed that Eldritch Knights can't use Eldritch Blast, Eldritch Smite, and Eldritch Sight.
I agree with Jamesboi, I mean a couple subclasses give a little bit better with charisma skills like Samurai but... not much out of combat utility.

The thing I miss most for Fighters is Weapon Specialization.
