Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make two unarmed strikes as a bonus action.
An unarmed strike requires an attack roll. Normally, a monk can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action. Flurry of blows lets you make two unarmed strikes, which equals one more than "normal". Additionally, Flurry of Blows does not increase in number of strikes when you gain extra attack. Some subclasses, like Drunken Master, upgrade Flurry of Blows at later levels, but it still consumes your bonus action and does not hinge on how many attacks you have.
how the book reads it doesn't sound like you have to roll for it, other players say you do so whos right?
with this also being said ive seen players do 2 flurry of blows ie.one per attack
this sounds kinda jacked up
To quote the PHB:

It sounds jacked up cause it is. Those players are doing it wrong.
