Indeed it does not, looks like a bug. You might want to report this in the Bug section of the forums.
If I may, one question: why chose this weapon for a Kensei Monk? Is it merely for aesthetics or is there some mechanical reason I do not see? (if anything, mechanically the weapon is quite less performing than many others for a Monk)
EDIT: it is actually not a valid weapon for a Kensei, as it is a has the "Special" quality, so it is probably in the list by mistake.
