I'm playing a 4 elements monk, ( official rules -sort of ) and for lore reasons, he is limited to winter related elements ( so basically water and cold ) so we're trying to figure out a way to flavour some elemental disciplines so it can fit with the theme, and maybe create some that could be interesting without breaking the intended class balance. For now i have Fist of unbroken air, grasp of the north wind and Shape of the flowing river.
For example, how would you flavour Fangs of the fire snake with cold damages instead of fire damage ? ( homebrew tolerated, like we can change the range thing for example, as long as the balance is kept )
and do you have any idea for new elemental disciplines that fit the theme ?
Fangs of the fire snake, if you want to be like a water bender, is already almost perfect for a straight element swap. However, for a cool bit of flavour, you could make it do cold damage and turn to ice just before hitting someone.

The control water one allows you to make water into ice.
