Last night we cracked open a cellar and it was full of undead. I had a nice moment with my Pally4/Lock1.
I attacked a wight using Green Flame Blade, and rolled a crit so 2d8 slashing and 2d8 fire dmg. I also have a blessing on my sword that gives 1d6 radiant so there's another 2d6, decided to use smite of course to there's another 2d8, and it was against an undead so another 2d8. Total dice rolled 2d8 slashing + 2d8 fire + 2d6 radiant + 4d8 radiant. Ended up doing 58 damage and blowing the wight into a million pieces. It feel pretty damn good, that was until the wraith life drained me down to 13 max HP....but we survived!
Nice! It's actually 6d8 radiant from the smite - 2d8 for one spell level, 1d8 for undead, all dice doubled for 6d8. Nobody makes critical hits feel like cheating like a Paladin.

Except a rogue?

A Rogue isn't going to be doing 10d8+2d6 damage on a crit at CL 5. And they aren't able to say, "Oh look, a 20 - I guess I'll burn a spell slot and make this really interesting."
