I'm pretty new to D&D and I don't really know how to apply the spell "Pass without a trace" with my lvl 5 ranger. It says: "For the duration, each creature you choose within 30 feet of you (including you) has a +10 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks and can't be tracked except by magical means." Does that mean that my stealth checks are 1d20+10 when the spell is cast or I roll my normal 1d20+5 then I add +10 to the result which means I couldn't get below 16 for the hour the spell is active? Thx!
I also have a question regarding "Primeval Awareness". It says:
Beginning at 3rd level, you can use your action and expend one ranger spell slot to focus your awareness on the region around you. For 1 minute per level of the spell slot you expend, you can sense whether the following types of creatures are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain): aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead. This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number.
Does that mean that I know exactly which type of creature I sense or I just know that there is one of the above mentionned?
As others have stated, Pass Without Trace gives you a +10 bonus to stealth over and above what you otherwise would have had, for as long as the spell is in effect. So, if you're proficient in stealth (and you should always be if you're a DEX ranger), then your Stealth checks will be DEX bonus + proficiency bonus + 10 plus your d20 roll. PWT is an extremely strong group buff that makes you very popular in parties, especially parties with people in heavy, clanking, metal armor who have to make stealth rolls with disadvantage.
If your ranger has Pass Without Trace and Healing Spirit, he's going to be welcome in pretty much any party.

Bonuses do stack, so yes, you have a total bonus of +15.
Your roll would be 1d20 + your dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus if proficient in stealth + 10.
