I have 2 feats as I rolled not great stats and am Vhuman, started with Observant as my mental stats are lacking and I grabbed Magic Initiate (Wizard) for Booming Blade (+ SA), Mending(infinite Net attacks, etc. shinnanigans), Find Familiar(SA @ range).
I’d say two weapon. You only get one sneak attack per turn, but it gives you another chance to trigger it if you miss on the first attack. And with swashbuckler, you don’t have as many issues with competing with your bonus actions, since you basically get disengage for free. In fact, you can attack, bonus action attack a second target, and not draw OAs from either. And with booming blade, one of them can’t chase after you.
Second choice would be defense, because everyone can use more ac.
I'm leaning toward defense, it boosts my AC to 20 with a shield and half plate, last night I did hit with the dagger off hand as bonus action and dealt significant damage with the SA.
Most people say two weapon for the reason you gave, but my character only has 11 Constitution so no extra HP and I've opted to roll for HP at level ups and it has paid off last 2 levels gaining 6 and 10. This guy is a glass cannon and has gone down twice in combat already.
Booming Blade is wasted if you go two weapon fighting since it uses up your whole action (so you will be wasting your Ranger lvlv 5 Extra Attack as well). You can't even use the "regular" bonus action off-hand attack if you use BB. If you are worried about taking damage then the Tough feat is always useful. Otherwise I'd go for Skill Expert (you mentioned you rolled low for stats so this could help) and +1 to Con.
As for fighting style, if you plan on actually using Booming Blade (which seems like a waste if you're going with Ranger past level 5) then I'd go for Defence or Duellist.

That sounds fair to me as you are trying to shore up the weakest part of your build.
Deuling or defense I suppose if you're focusing on melee single melee attacks with booming blade. I don't believe you can two weapon fighting with booming blade since you have to take the actual attack action to do the bonus action off hand attack anyway.
Blind fighting can be useful in certain niche situations, if your DM allows the tashas fighting styles. If you wanted a couple of druid cantrips for some reason you could take that as well, though those likely wouldn't be too useful to your rogue/ranger.
I'm pretty sure you cannot. Two weapon fighting specifies that you take the attack action with your main hand, and then you can make a bonus action attack with your off hand. It specifies attack action, it does not say when you make any weapon attack.
Booming Blade, and green flame blade, both involve making a melee weapon attack but your actual action is casting the cantrip. For similar reasons, you cannot use multiple attacks either when using these cantrips if you're say, an eldritch knight.
The exception that I know is bladesinger wizard, who at sixth level gets two attacks with the attack action and can substitute one those attacks for a cantrip.

Do you have a martial weapon for your PC? Then I'd suggest you take the 'Interception' fighting style which will allow your PC to use reaction. Basically, you can benefit from the feature by using one action, one bonus action and a reaction in every combat rounds.
Interception is more of a paladin/cleric style, someone who's not afraid to take damage either. This guy is not going to be within melee of enemies when he doesn't have to be.

Your PC doesn't have to be within the melee range of 'Enemies', he needs to be near his 'Friends' in order to use the fighting style.
Pretty simple, which style will benefit me more?

I didn't know you couldn't BA off hand with BB
I'm only going 4 levels to grab CS Hunter and the ASI/Feat, which will be Resilient Constitution.

Well Bladesinger/Rogue sounds like my next build lol
The synergy between BB and BA Disengage is fantastic. I highly recommend this build:
Half-Elf: 17/16/15 Dex/Int/Con
Arcane Trickster 12 (Elven Accuracy, +2 Dex, +2 Int)
Bladesinger 8 (+2 Int, Resilient Con)
Feats are not in order.
