Example build, Variant Human ( magic initiate: taking True Strike 2024 ) - - - Rogue lvl 3 Sneak attack (2d6) + True Strike ( 2024 Radiant damage ) questions for the community???
Rogue wielding a Dagger as an example, ( Dagger has finesse property to sneak attack ) while in condition to apply sneak attack, Rogue makes a Spell attack with New True strike (2024) and changes damage dealt to Radiant while Applying SNEAK ATTACK.
** Sneak attack rules as written " the extra damage’s type is the same as the weapon’s type." Since damage dealt was change to Radiant Damage from TRUE STRIKE, does it also change Sneak attack damage to Radiant damage???
***Or was rule as intended, True Strike ( radiant ) + sneak attack = Dagger damage 1d4 radiant + 2d6 piercing? ( rule as intended to keep Sneak attack damage strictly Weapon Damage?)
**** Or was it intended to be 1d4 radiant + 2d6 Radiant ??? ( seems a little broken at higher levels vs undeads , I might have miss understood the rule as intended )
***** I personally would allow it because it uses spell attack mod VS your Dex/Str mod to make the attack.

What are your thoughts oh great community?
After a quick glance at the rules, it says:
This means that it would be piercing, as true strike makes the attack do radiant damage - not the weapon.
Extended signature
Dagger attack with True Strike + Sneak Attack = 1d4 radiant + 2d6 piercing.
This is correct, at least before level 5 when True Strike starts adding extra radiant damage.
I agree that Sneak Attack damage can't be converted into Radiant with True Strike, only the actual weapon damage can be.
