I was just wondering about this subclasses 3rd level feature, skirmisher. The rule states:
Starting at 3rd level, you are difficult to pin down during a fight. You can move up to half your speed as a reaction when an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of you. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.
So, does that mean, the movement speed that you use for the reaction (say 15ft), is that taken away from your overall movement speed (say 30ft in total)? Or when you finally get to your turn, you just have the initial 30ft to start with?
Speed is separate from movement -- you use your Speed to determine how much Movement you have on your turn. This is separate from movement granted by special features like this Scout feature.
So as a reaction you can move half your speed (15 feet if you're a standard 30-foot speed race). When your turn occurs, you have your full 30 feet of movement to utilize, whether or not you used this feature.
Hey there,

Thanks for the clarification!
Just try to beat a scout in a sprint! As soon as you catch up to them, they zoom ahead!
