Also depending on which kind of weapon you'll use take a look at the "Crossbow expert" (allowing you a second attack with your bonus action if using Handcrossbows) and "Sharpshooter" (increase in range and possible damage bonus). You could also take a look at "Sulker" depending on how you DM is treating stealth / hide action / dim light.
Drow elf is note the perfect race for rogue correct but so long as you're having fun with your character and you want to play it this way (for story reasons or style) it's style a great choice for you :) You won't feel underpower because of it that's for sure.
I thought the Sulker feat was only available to Drow ranger dual wielding scimitars? ;)
Some input about the swashbuckler. It could be good for you to consider it if you plan on wanting to have an edge for those times when the bad guys want to get in closer with you(or if you plainly want to do some melee sometimes). That possible Sneak attack in one-on-one situation is dope and the "free disengage" could save your life indeed.
That being said if you really don't want to stay in close combat with enemies that would not be the sub-class I'd be choosing. If you indeed plan on going bit of both (melee/ranged) I would suggest looking into Inquisitive which allow you to "mark a target" to gain sneak attacks (melee or ranged). I've been using that subclass in a similar set up and it's working fine so long as I actually think strategically before marking a target. Plus it gives me plenty of RP opportunity without having to be the "face" of the group (very low CHA vs High WIS)

Was that a Drizzt refrence I heard?
<If it didn't die the first time, you didn't kill it hard enough> and <If percussion maintenance isn't working, you didn't hit it hard enough>
