hello there! I have too many ideas. I am very impatient and I love splatoon and obssess over any minmax. I'm sorry if anything I post is unkind or offends you. I'm well aware that I am very weird and I like it that way! call me adam or atomic. my mottos:
goal number 1: be funny in all ways possible
goal number 2: be nice in all ways possible
goal number 3: have as much fun in life as you can!
It works, yes, but I see two obvious drawbacks to this tactic:
With True Strike, as written, you must use your spellcasting ability modifier for the attack and damage rolls. For Sorcerers and Paladins, this is Charisma, but most Paladins will have a higher Strength than Charisma, and therefore are more likely to hit if they just make a regular attack.
Due to needing to use the Magic action to cast True Strike, you can only make one attack per action this way, so you're not benefiting from the Extra Attack feature once you reach level 5. It will be a long time before the level-scaled extra damage from True Strike can match the damage dealt by a second normal attack, so in most cases you're going to be better off making two normal attacks than one True Strike attack.
That said, it might be worth it if you're primarily a Sorcerer and don't intend on ever taking five or more Paladin levels.

I've seen some advice for support paladins to raise their CHA over their strength to boost their auras. That would come at the obvious cost of lowering their personal melee attack abilities, however true strike /does/ mitigate that to a certain extent.
Now, I am not personally sure I'd want to give up my multi-attack for that, but if I was playing the character more defensive and supportive, I'd at least consider it. For a sorcadin, it might be even more appealing given the fact that they can use quickened spell to get a second true strike off in a round should you wish to do so, assuming you do not plan to cast a leveled spell in the same round.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
the highest paladin level I could see with this is 6 for the aura. It is mainly sorcerer.
