Im playing a great old one warlock who struggles not to be enthralled by her patron and lose her mind. I discussed with the dm the possibility of her multiclassing as a divine soul sorcerer later on. The flavor way i wanted her to multiclass was the god comes in contact with her and they decide they can help her not succumb to her patron and also help advance their own goal and empowers her. Would that work flavorwise with a divine soul sorcerer? I know itd be fitting more for a paladin but i liked the mechanics of the divine soul sorcerer more.
Sounds more like a cleric (or for a celestial warlock for that matter) to me, but you can do what you want. A god could empower your soul so you gain powers as opposed to borrowing power.
This would be nearly impossible to roleplay, since the old ones are monstrosities, and the gods are their mortal enemies.
Not really. The Old One could have sensed the Celestial bloodline in the character and takes great joy in corrupting a force for good before they could come into their powers. Or perhaps the Patron saw a prophecy of a being of Celestial blood thwarting their plans and took matters into their own hands. I think the constant pull between the dark and the light could be amazing to role play.

That's not really how Sorcerers work. Their power comes from a powerful ancestor who's blood courses through them. It could still be done by saying that the Divine Soul inside you was awakened by touching dark power and communing with an Old One. Obviously, do whatever is most fun for, and makes sense to, you and fits with your campaign. Discuss with your DM. They might have even better ways of incorporating it into the story.
