I'm a Tome-Lock w/ the BoAS Invoc and I cannot figure out, with the Character Builder how to add the two spells I'm supposed to get when I take the Invoc and/or any others I'd pick up in the course of adventuring.
It would really be helpful if a developer would address this. My list of spells is also growing and I hope they are gonna fix this soon, as i still have to keep a paper and pencil sheet of the ritual spells that are in my book. Is there any way to report this as a missing feature for developers?
Nope, still hasn't been addressed. Yeah I can add them in the notes section, but it's still a bit irritating having to type all that in the notes box. Maybe I'll just print them out on some note cards and keep them with my character sheet.
With the revamp now here, has anyone found out the best way to add those two ritual spells yet? I still don't see how to do it, but I could be missing something.
Whilst the revamped character sheet has much improved the spelllist and even the scorcerer initiate spells, my ritual list is still dumb and non-interactive on my notes page.
Getting the tome rituals included in the spell list, similar to the way of pulling out the concentration spells would be great
Agreed. But making a homebrew magic item does the trick as well. The spells show up on the list, and the source (a Book of Shadows) appears in text underneath it.
I would like a simpler method...but I'm happy with this approach.
I took this advice & tried to create a series of scrolls with the spells on them. It sucked. Version 2 of the scroll linked to the spell. A bit better, but not much.
I mentioned this to my DM & he created me a single woundorous item with the ritual spells linked to it & even better then having an item in my equipment list with all the ritual spells, they're linked to the actual spell text, so it's concise yet all the information is available. Biggest bonus, the spells all appear under my warlock spell list, clearly marking they're in the tome & shortlisted under the ritual section.
I apologize for piggy backing on the OP. I didn't want to offend by reopening ancient threads or creating post for a stupid question.
I haven't played since 3e so forgive me we didn't have sorcerers or warlocks that I remember ....
Query: Can I wait a level to choose an Invocation?
I'm playing a Goliath (Stone) Sorcerer 1 / (Raven) Warlock 1 and can't decide how far to take him in Warlock ... Honestly I'd have chosen Wizard but his Int is 11. I would prefer to push him more toward utility caster but those seem in the Wizards wheelhouse. I was thinking with Book of Ancient Secrets he could at least learn and cast Ritual spells.
Query: Can I wait a level to choose an Invocation?
Technically, it does say you learn the invocation at that level, so waiting a level would be something you'd need to houserule with your DM, but usually there's not a lot of reason to do that, considering you can change one invocation each time you gain a level.
I don't think you can "wait" on choosing an Invocation. If you tell your DM that you really aren't sure you want to "commit" to an Invocation, s/he will probably understand. Might allow swapping it out when you level.
Normally if you take another level in Warlock you can always swap out 1 invocation per level: "Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the invocations you know and replace it with another invocation that you could learn at that level."
Thanks much. Swapping out for the Ancient Book at third level when the character gains the Tomb Pact will work. Trying to decide if keeping Agonizing Blast and whether to stop dipping at 3rd or 4th before commiting to Sorcerer is the next issue.
Before anyone ask he has three good stats and three at 11 and I wanted to play a Goliath. I thought Stone Sorcerer was a more natural caster for that race At the time I did not realize the limited spells available so thought dipping into Warlock might make the difference ... so yeah character concept of a mini-storm giant went right out the window ... it’s a mess. Lol

Essentially question in the title.

Help Appreciated, Thanks - Kor.
I just add them as notes in the "Other" section for now, hopefully will be addressed by the upcoming revamp.
Perpetually annoyed that Eldritch Knights can't use Eldritch Blast, Eldritch Smite, and Eldritch Sight.
Looking forward to this being a feature in the character builder as well! My list of spells is growing 🤓
I created a magic item with the spells in it so it adds it to my list(well below my list of spells but close enough for now)
It would really be helpful if a developer would address this. My list of spells is also growing and I hope they are gonna fix this soon, as i still have to keep a paper and pencil sheet of the ritual spells that are in my book. Is there any way to report this as a missing feature for developers?
Thanks in advance!
They are adressing it in the next Character sheet revamp that is due to hit us soon.
I guess it was not addressed yet? I added the Book of ancient secrets as well and can't choose rituals.
the reason it has not been adressed yet is that the revamp still havent hit us. Hopefully its right around the corner.

And the monkey flips the switch~

Could you explain this further so I can do it? How do you actually create it?
Thanks Nthal.

MeszerOTG, I'd heartily recommend this
Yep, the single item was the approach i used, not scrolls. Scrolls need work still.
Since i didnt make it clear, it was a homebrew wonderous item. Done that was it works as The_Baron_Teapot describes.
I think I may have been able to create this appropriately! Thanks for the advice community! This helped me solve the issue for online reference!
