Hey all I have a question! There are spell slots rules for multiclass spellcasters stating that you get spell slots in each level depending on your character level if you have the pact magic feature of Warlock and the spellcaster feature of a spellcasting class. Now i know Fighter isnt a spellcaster class but i gained the Wizard spellcasting abilities when i took the Eldritch Knight archetype. Does this mean i use the Multiclass spellcaster rules or no?
Okay so when i gain the Wizard spellcasting feat from the Eldritch Knight archetype, those spell slots are completely different from the Pact magic slots of the Warlock?
You determine your available spell slots by adding together all your levels in the bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, and wizard classes, and half your levels (rounded down) in the paladin and ranger classes. Use this total to determine your spell slots by consulting the Multiclass Spellcaster table.
The Player's Handbook also mentions that you add 1/3 of your fighter or rogue levels if you're an Eldritch Knight or Arcane Trickster; since the basic rules don't include those subclasses, that part of the rule is left out. Either way, warlock isn't included in the list of classes that contribute towards being a multiclass spellcaster.
You can use your Spellcasting spell slots to cast warlock spells or your Pact Magic spell slots to cast wizard spells.

Warlock doesn't have the Spellcasting class feature. Pact Magic slots are separate from Spellcasting spell slots.

Yes. See Multiclassing in the Basic Rules:

Ah, okay thanks! I was confused and wanted to make sure I wasn't going against the rules here!
