So I’ve been working on an idea (which I stole from an older game called Azure Dreams) where a pact of the Chain Warlock’s familiar could actually become a character’s arm. It’s been awkward at best until you look at a multiclass to Blood Hunter as a Profane Soul.
Call up Guy Fieri, because we’re taking a trip to Flavor Town. Now you can flavor damage you take from Crimson Rite as a real, and direct form of damage where the familiar actually feeds on your body to empower your attacks.
Now... onto the mechanical stuff: how does multiclassing Warlock and Blood Hunter’s Profane Soul actually work? Especially in regards to spell slots/level?
Your idea seem good only if you are rolling for stats and you got high enough. For 27 points i might be a challenge since you need 4 stats as high as possible Dex/Strgh, Con, Wis and Cha. Best approach if you're not going most warlock is keeping charisma at 13 and taking spells that won't need save or rolls mainly RP and hex. Rest just try to keep your priorities Dex/stegh and Con as high as possible since crimson rite will be eating your HP (and even more if you are going two weapon fighting). Your spells should be okay if you focus mainly on utility than damage.
TLDR: Very hard to pull off because how MAD (multi attribute demand) this build is. I'd say if you have decent rolls then go for it. Or you can just toss what i said if you really love the idea which tbh i loved it too, though the arm part is completely up to the DM if he says yes just watch out for things that dispels magic since the arm is magical because of the find familiar spell. Good luck!

Yeah, it works best with several medium stats and a mountain dwarf, really. Still, it’s a fun concept. Figuring out ways to make a fun character work is great
Multi-classing anything with Blood Hunter is difficult due to the way the Crimson Rite feature works. The bonus damage die scales with your Blood Hunter level, but the HP loss and max HP reduction is based on your total character level. So the more non-Blood Hunter levels you have, the more self-inflicted damage you'll take for your relatively small Crimson Rite damage boost.
UPDATE: The ability score issue remains, but the fourth score is now INT, not WIS. As for the Crimson Rite issue, that is no longer a problem, as HP loss is now equal to a roll of your hemocraft die.

DICE FALL, EVERYONE ROCKS!
Right, it really works best with dwarves and their high Con (and possible bonus hp) because of that. But the flavor is enjoyable.
