I'm currently playing a UA seeker warlock and need to figure out who their patron is! The UA guide suggests Celestian or Oghma, would there be any other entities that could be a patron for a warlock? Has anyone else played a seeker warlock?
There are a few options but sadly a lot of those options seem to be chaotic and/or evil in alignment, but looking at denizens of the astral plane and general entities that may wander the planes....
You could go for Zerthimon who founded the Githzerai this would be a Lawful/Neutral option.
Vlaakith the Lich Queen of the Githyanki if you want something more evil.
Thurizdun the creator of the Astral Dreadnoughts.
Berbalang dwell in the Astral plane so yo could have a powerful version of one of them but they are Neutral Evil.
You could have an Illithid (mindflayer) elder brain adrift in the astral plane using you as a scout/spy on the material plane but this may also mean you being evil depending on how the DM wants to play it.
You could pick any God of Knowledge from established campaign settings or particularly powerful mages or dead Gods (they tend to float through the astral plane so maybe one reaches out to your character to try and find away to become reborn), otherwise Gods like Elistraee of the Drow Pantheon might be a good one for a Good alignment.
If you want Lawful alignments then maybe go for a powerful entity like a Marut, they were created by Primus god of the Modrons to enforce contracts, so you could act as a material realm "researcher" and the information and lore you collect is filtered through tot eh Marut and they may give you tasks to make sure contracts are adhered to.

I had an NPC in my game that's a Seekerlock, and her patron was a being that floats through the Astral plane like a blue whale through the ocean, gathering knowledge for knowledge's sake and enjoying mortals at times to do the same. As this is an ancient and mysterious being, I only ever just called it "The Seeker."
I basically treated it like the neutral good equivalent of a great old one, but I have a headcanon I never made canon that millennia ago it was a celestial that got trapped in the astral plane and, through prolonged exposure to the pure thought environment of the astral plane, spiritually mutated over the years into what it is today.
Idk why but the thought of making the seeker just some God sounded kinda boring to me
When I think of a seeker, for some reason Wan Shi Tong comes up from avatar the last airbender (if the name does not sound familiar, it is the giant owl librarian).Maybe that is a good choice? I also found Elias from ancient magus bride (I know that not many people like anime, but this character is really great) who is a kind and passive wendigo (though he is not confirmed to be a wendigo, but the story points that way.) who searches information on emotions, and humans in itself, which would also be an interesting concept.
In my campaign I have a NPC (formerly PC) seeker Warlock and her patron is an Astral Dragon that is a Champion of Ioun. The dragon is serving as a decoy for Ioun (using Critical Role’s Exandria setting) and the NPC believes that her pact is directly with the goddess.
This was mostly for the PC but I’ve kept it with the NPC. She serves as an ambassador for the Cobalt Soul and the party when they call on her (they’ve only done once).
