I gotta say, the people at the Unconventional warlock backgrounds were extremely generous and awesome with their ideas! But i am now curious about Patrons that are outside the books. Your own fan made patron. Let the community see your amazing ideas! if you are willing to share of course.

Born under the watch of something from the furthest corners of the far realms.... It knows all.... it sees all... and it asks: "What is it that you want to see?"... and my answer is... ALL"
Have a look on DMs Guild I made a Demon Princess Patron, basically a voyeur fascinated with mortal relationships this patron is designed for a pair of Warlocks and gives bonuses when they are together.

My DM has allowed me to make my own Patron, and subsequent subclass, and so I've made a "Fallen Celestial" I've named Azariel. She once served as one of the faces of the Septumvirate, a group of seven Celestials who pooled their power together to jointly serve as a Celestial Paragon. Interacting with mortals in the Prime Material, they formed an order, members of the order allowed to summon one of at times of need. Azariel represented Judgement in the Seven but whenever she was summoned to the PM by their order she got a little zealous about killing the wicked and began killing people that the other Six hadn't sanctioned. Doing this one too many times for their liking, they used their power to cast her into the Abyss where she was expected to fall in battle as a form of atonement. Unfortunately for them she is a survivor and instead turned their punishment into opportunity as she grew her strength enough to be a Patron in her own right, at which point she began to contact mortals in the Prime Material to form her own order, the Eyes of Azariel, who are to function as Judges in her stead. Her ultimate goal is for those who she gives power to transform into lesser forms of her Angelic form, which has been corrupted by the energies of the Abyss, so that can they can join her and help her stake out territory there and bring Order to a little piece of the chaotic plane.
Some class features the subclass offers is at lvl1 your vision is taken but is replaced with a magical blindsight that also gives you proficiency in Insight. Lvl6 lets you channel the devouring nature of your Patron, having become the Sin Eater in her time in the Abyss, and allows you to heal yourself equal to the amount of HP your target lost upon killing it with an Eldritch Smite. Lvl10 sees you gain Expertise in Insight, allowing you to see the wills of those around you so that you can see their attacks before they make them, granting unarmored defence to the character. Lvl14 then allows you to transform into a lesser version of the Sin Eater for a short time, a glimpse at the true purpose Azariel granted you power to begin with.
I dont go anywhere near as in depth with creating my patron’s backstory as some do, but luckily most of it has already been done for me. My patron is The Crimson King from Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series (among other places). The Crimson King is described as a “trans dimensional demon”. My warlock Walter has been “taken over” by the Crimson King for unknown purposes and is still fighting what will be his ultimate transformation into the evil Walter O’ Dim, AKA The Man In Black.
can you guess what audio books i was listening to when i rolled this character? :)
it may not be all that original, but the RP’ing possibilities have made it a lot of fun so far.

Hell yeah. Randall Flagg! Someday, this dude is going to win and the tower will fall! Great concept!
My patron is “Mora’Ty” the goddess of luck and fortune. She’s a minor deity in “The Wayward Lands” home brew campaign setting. My warlock is also multi classed to a rogue. He has a silver coin with Mora’Ty’s symbol on one side. He is always fiddling with the coin, muttering one sided conversations to it, and tosses it to help him make decisions (e.g. I toss my coin muttering “left or right, left or right?”).
Mostly this is just a mechanical d2 roll for role play flavor for my character. On rare occasions the DM will inject with something like “you hear a faint cheerful laugh and a flash of silver glints to the right as your coin flys upward”, or “you smell a hint of decay to the left as you catch your coin”. And the fun of it is I never know when the DM/Patron is giving me “divine guidance” or just screwing with me; luck and fortune can be good or bad right!
I'm literally hanging out for an Ancient Dragon Patron that makes sense. I'm thinking something to do with giving up gold for extra bonuses. They just used it for the UA Genie Patron but I think it makes more sense with a dragon.
