Would it be safe to assume that using the Grasp of Hadar invocation while flying to pull an enemy 10 feet into the air to cause fall damage would also knock them prone?
Im guessing it's mostly up to DM discretion, but from a logical standpoint, at least they should impose an acrobatics check to see if the enemy lands on their feet, right?
Once you get up to 17th level, that is an extra 4d6 damage, but most things at that level are immune or resistant to non-magical bludgeoning damage, and that is not to much damage at that level.
I really like this idea! Im totally gonna use this for some major shenanigans. Ex: In a battle set near a cliff, fly off the cliff and then hit with hadar, hopefully dragging my opponent of the cliff.

seems fair, not really crazy in any ways.
Yeah, not crazy, once per turn, requires flying (so Aarakocra or Aasimar are better) and only does 1d6 extra damage, and knocks them prone.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms

When the DM smiles, it is already to late.
But that 4d6 would be spread across 4 opponents because Grasp of Hadar can effect a single creature only once per turn.

My first char (and namesake) Lili Scheppen!
Proud member of the cult of grammar! (grand inquisitor)
I would give them an easy acrobatic check to land upright.
Very easy if you were doing it at a low angle.
But Grasp of Hadar is ONCE per turn, you can't get more than 1d6.
