So.....I made a Warlock:Fiend/Wizard: Scribe multiclass. The basis of the character is a scholar who is searching for the key to immortality and made a pact with Mephistopheles for more knowledge. They focus on pyromancy and because of astronomically good rolls, my Intelligence and Charisma are maxed out. Do you think this build is viable, or even good? He's level 11 now, with 5 levels in Warlock and 6 levels in Wizard, with the Flames of Phlegethos and Elemental Adept: Fire feats and Pact of the Tome. I'm thinking of doing alternating level ups, till i get 10 warlock and 10 Wizard, but i don't know if i should just go straight in with one class.
There's really not a wrong way to do it if you're having fun playing it. Many people will analyze the benefits of different level splits, like the number of feats/ASIs or especially desirable class features.
Five levels of Warlock is a great place - you just got L3 spells and a third invocation. I would probably go to Wizard 7 for that 4th level spell, and then take another look at what will advance your character in the way that you want.
