I can use help on what feat I should take and spells. Also if you have ideas on build
I am getting my 5th level(Wizard 4) Eladrin 4 Wizard(Envoker)/1 Cleric(Tempest). My tentative plan is to go straight wizard the rest of the way. I am the man source of magic and healing. The other people in the party that can help are a 3rogue/2cleric, 5 paladin and 3fighter/2warlock. I am probably the lowest damage of a high power group. It is mainly a dungeon crawl right now.
My attributes are Str 12 Dex 15 Con 14 Int 20 Wis 19 Cha 15 current feats are Fey Touched . I am thinking Wisdom half feat. I was thinking Observation but he said he doesn't really use passive perception. I am open to suggestions.
Web is a nice 2nd level wizard spell unless you're up against webwalkers. War Caster or Eldritch Adept: Eldritch Mind Feat is pretty good for concentration, readying spells for certain situations and stuff. Absorb Elements 1st level wizard spell against certain dragons' breath weapon/glyphs/traps/bombs/etc. Rope Trick 2nd level wizard spell will be up to the DM how useful it is in play. Fly, Tiny Hut, Counterspell, Remove Curse are some 3rd level wizard spell options.
If you feel like you are the lowest damage in the group, you could lean into that and focus on being more in control of the battlefield, especially considering you can take spells that will shape off areas of the dungeon you are crawling through. As you are an evoker wizard, think about spells like Tasha's Caustic Brew for low-level spells, and then as you work your way up in levels grab various wall spells such as Wall of Sand, Wall of Water, and Wall of Fire depending on what types of effects you would like.
Metamagic Adept, taking the transmuted spell, and whatever else, probably subtle. This will let you swap element types a couples a day
Get your 2nd level of Tempest Cleric my dude. You can wait til after fireball tho. It lets you once per short rest max out a lighting/thunder spell damage.
Then, when the moment is right, you'll be able to chuck out lightning firballs that deal max damage. That'll be 54 damage from your 4th level slots.
You won't be lowest damage dealer in your group anymore.
If that feat isn't your cup of tea, just snag lightning bolt. It won't likely hit nearly as many enemies as a lightning fireball, but if you can get them to chase you down a hallway...
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
